HRW, lol. Jeff Childers helpfully documents the _facts_: https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/celestial-rabbits-tuesday-april-7

"In 2015, Obama’s Pentagon updated the Department of Defense’s Law of War Manual. Revised Section 5.6.8.5 said:

Electric power stations are generally recognized to be of sufficient importance to a State’s capacity to meet its wartime needs of communication, transport, and industry so as usually to qualify as military objectives during armed conflicts.

The section was revised three more times: in 2016 (Obama), and in 2023 and 2024 (Biden). Trump’s DoD hasn’t touched it. It says the exact opposite of the Times’s loopy pronouncement.

How quickly the Times forgets. In 1991’s Operation Desert Storm, George Bush’s military coalition bombed Iraq’s entire electrical grid on Night One. Power plants were designated as priority targets. But there were zero war crimes charges against Bush or any coalition partner nation. There weren’t even any “revels in war crimes” headlines in the New York Times.

In Kosovo in 1999, under Clinton, NATO systematically bombed Serbia’s power grid. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia investigated and declined to prosecute: No war crimes! Clinton got a nice library. In Libya in 2011, Obama and NATO bombed tons of infrastructure. Obama never got Congressional authorization for that one. And that time, the NYT editorial board wildly applauded, like a ward full of drooling mental patients at snack time..."

Love comparing so many notes.

Who needs MSM with such empty messaging , in my opinion .

The “hornets nest” is certainly buzzing. Where is the uprising of those that were protesting for a regime change? Oh… that’s right….. 29,000 of them were murdered by the regime they were protesting against.

Now, the pro government folks are willing to surround these electric power plants that are the target by the military today?

How powerful is “religion” at a time of war….. how effective is religion at a time of war, … what chance does “any” country have when God or Allah…”is on our side”.

However, fact is fact and no matter the way one cuts it…. Iran’s administration is a country that funds terrorism around the world….. and will CONTINUE to do so unless a peaceful administration is the result of the upcoming strikes by the USA

People like former Human Rights Watch director Kenneth Roth, who said Trump was “openly threatening collective punishment, targeting not the Iranian military but the Iranian people,” must be suffering the onset of dementia! Even a mentally challenged person knows how deeply appreciative the Iranian people are to look at a future democratic Iran! Roth is a glaring example of the world’s grifters that sit back, criticize and then move forward like vultures to thrive off the benefits of the US intervention!! Let’s throw in the pitiful, disgraceful NATO “hanger’s on” crowd - they’d do some loud whining under an ayatollah led regime…..precisely what Iran was, is, planning! Canada for one is saturated with over 700 Iranian terrorists enjoying freedoms (dictated by Marxist PM Carney and his Liberal tribe) to terrorize, assault and murder Jewish and Christian Canadians on a daily basis across the entire country! A former conservative MP who criticized them was targeted to have her head cut off!! Welcome to a world of ayatollah rule!!!!

I recently read a book, Islam and the Future of Tolerance: A Dialogue, with Sam Harris and Maajid Nawaz. Mr Nawaz was a muslim terrorist and was jailed in Egypt for 6 years. He is now an advocate for peace and on page 117 he says that the extremists need to be culturally and militarily exterminated. I agree.

Also, listened to Jordan Peterson's podcast with guest Mosab Hassan Yousef and the outcome is similar…

Using women and children to safeguard vital points is nothing short of depravity. It just further reinforces the suicidal mindset of these people.

Pretty sure that if they were growing rutabagas instead of producing oil there wouldn’t be a war going on. The Palestinians have huge offshore oil reserves and they are getting bombed out of existence. Coincidence? Not likely.

Leftish rhetoric while ignoring Iran's overt programme to incinerate Israel with more countries likely to follow.

Not sure you are well versed in events and grounded in reality.

Lean left a little?

FFS! Stop with all the meaningless finger pointing and blame assignments. Wasted effort. Dissect during the autopsy.

Why not join the rest of the world, including yt, and just say a silent prayer that this does not turn into something far worse, something with global existential consequences. And I'm not even religious, more of a Pantheist, so am praying to all my Gods.

Times have become far too interesting.
