I just returned from a small town/city north of Cabo in Mexico.
I got to know a Mexican from the place … who has become a good friend.
Asked if this type of extortion happens in the place… his answer was VERY interesting.
He said there was “ZERO” such extortion cases BECAUSE … as he stated…..”there is only one road into Town…,and one road out”. Meaning that if a “hit” took place … they could identify the hit person… and… “take care of the matter”…..and “F” the authorities”.
He added that… “no one trusts any level of police, city, municipal, state or federal”….because as he stated…..”they are all in bed with the narco gangs”. However, he did say “the people do trust the military”.
I am NOT advocating for violence in any way…. but does this small town have the answer to Canada’s growing problem?

A man from South Asia told me fifteen years ago that “everybody I know who comes here plans to go on welfare”. A few years later, I asked a neighbour who works for Immigration Canada if this was true. She said it was, that they used fraudulent documents to come here for jobs, then quit them and went on welfare. The more we offer, the more some groups will scam.
Canada does not need czars, we need accountability , responsibility and follow through that leads to permanent elimination of this kind of crime.
