Well, Carney is. He's calling the shots. I share your concern. But Canadians weren't even asked. They were hoodwinked and mostly seem to be too busy glowering south, as they've been told to, at the orange squirrel who had absolutely nothing to do with Canada's plummeting social and fiscal status. That began with the Turdo and Carnage rule in 2016, and sadly is going according to plan.

Annnnnnnnd then, Freeland approved the sale of HSBC Canada to RBC, clearly oblivious to the fact the bank was dishing out fraudulent mortgages and loans (per Willful Blindness) to people of Chinese origin, and of course its dodgy relationship with Huawei (pull the other one - it has bells on it). But never mind, nothing to see here plebs - now away with you before I call the goons, sorry the authorities.

To this day, the Meng affair remains a shameful chapter in Canadian foreign policy.

During the trial in Vancouver, Meng was allowed to be "incarcerated" in her luxury mansion, while at the same time, the 2 Michael's languished in a Chinese jail which, I am quite certain, is far from luxurious.

The Meng affair is no less than a hostage crisis for Canada. Yet, we just swept the whole thing under the rug.
