And yet, our government officials, our media, even our entertainers and artists, keep painting the United States as our number one enemy. When are we going to wake up? Are we going to realize that we had lost our country before we realize this?

For 2000+ years China viewed itself as being at the very centre of a mono-polar world, with only ignorant barbarians and vassal states outside its borders. The CCP’s National Rejuvenation is strategy to make it so again by 2049, the 100th anniversary of the PRC. For China, a multipolar world is just a tactical step along the way. Modern history with China not being the sole world dominating power is just considered a temporary historical blip from the CCP’s perspective.
The Chinese tactic of infiltrating and instigating conflict amongst rivals is a formal part of Chinese military doctrine known in Chinese as "using barbarians to control barbarians", yǐ yí zhì yí(以夷制夷).
Putin been led to believe he’s a Czar reclaiming the mighty USSR, and China did a lot of whispering in Putin’s ear to help convince him. Russia is already well along its way to becoming a vassal state of China. Using different tactics for different countries, will Canada become one?
Knowing western sanctions would follow, would Putin have even started the war if he didn’t have China’s explicit guarantees of support beforehand? The Ukraine war is really just part of China’s decades long strategy to reorder the world. Putin is merely a puppet.
China simply views Canada as a naive people with an abundance of natural resources and a high geopolitical strategic value.
You cant have strategic national vision built solely on quarterly corporate earnings, the internship span of a CEO, and four year election cycles. You need a national identity seen through a civilizational lens.
China has taken a whole-of-society approach to achieve its goal. The West too needs to do the same to defend itself against it.

In my opinion, an immigrant who’s a highly skilled military recruit immigrating for the sole purpose of joining the Canadian military should be subject to additional security requirements depending on the category.
This is one thing about our treasonous government that's transparent at least. They invite the invading army to enter then slay us. Perhaps the army will sail over in the new ferries that we lent them money to build for us while welders in Canada are on the dole. What a country we are, whackos in charge driven by something other than the interests of their constituents.
