The Liberals are no longer Liberal, they are neo-fascist… Carney & his continued relationship with Brookfield are a prime example.. he really thinks he and his investment bank buddies should be able to run the entire show.. & to profit handsomely while we serfs shut up and pay ever higher taxes.

The investment bankers got us to this state of semi- bankruptcy with their subprime mortgage scams… which taxpayers ended up footing the bill for…. now they expect us to pay for their bets and thus far their bets are foolish…. The EV busses in Quebec, the battery plant, the cricket processing facility… all bankrupt taking our tax dollars with them… Now Carney has invested our pension funds heavily in India which is devolving quickly as their energy came mainly from the gulf region.

I don’t disagree with your assessment of this government, but Canadians also have to accept some responsibility for the situation we’re in due to our lack of political awareness. In particular, we can thank those voters who continued to keep the Liberal Party in power, even after decades of scandals and allegations of corruption.

JHOC's avatar

I don’t disagree.

CLARENCE LEE's avatar

I've often wondered the same thing!

Calling the Liberals “neo-fascist” goes too far. Canada remains a democracy with free elections, an independent judiciary, a free press, and open political opposition. Strong criticism of the government is fair; extreme labels are not.

It is reasonable to question Mark Carney’s ties to global finance and to demand transparency around conflicts of interest, public spending, and failed industrial subsidies. Those are legitimate concerns. But poor policy decisions or questionable investments are not the same as fascism.

A stronger argument is that Canadians deserve better judgment, better oversight, and better accountability for how public money is spent. That keeps the criticism credible and focused on the real issue: responsible government.

The press is purchased, with out tax dollars…to hide truth & to do no real investigation.

You might have noticed the numbers crossing the floor—if the democracy was real that wouldn’t be happening. Floor crossers were VOTED in, democratically, but they left their ridings unrepresented, for all intents & purposes. What were they offered?

if you take a look at the bills being presented, you’ll see they are geared toward authoirtarianism.

if you take a look at Carney’s history you’ll see he’s been trying to kill the US for years & Canada as a result in favour of a global governance model that is based on fascism.

You are so far behind you can never catch up, so just go back to sleep.

The carney liberals have no intention to listen to anyone, liberal beliefs are superior to all others, period, no debate, full stop.

Penny Leifson's avatar

Clearly, Liberals’ beliefs are superior to nothing; however, they certainly pretend they are.

This is not the only liberal legislation that affects foundational Charter freedoms. Slowly, bit by bit, the new world order of Carney and WEF is being put into play to destroy the democracy of Canada. With a looming majority there is no limit on what Carney will do. The only hope is that legislating morality has proven historically to be a complete and utter disaster. There are very credible examples throughout the ages of all the various groups of people in our world waking up and standing against oppressors like Carney and his liberals. But we have our very own grooming gang in Canada and it is the liberal party of Canada. As Canadians are demoralized, controlled, threatened and impoverished so our country and culture decline. Will Canadians wake up? Will a sane voice break through the propaganda and liberal psyop?

I hate Communists even when they change their name to Liberals.

On the Liberal's attempt to legislate morality, I'll volunteer to be the first defendant.

Here’s something from Dante’s Inferno that should qualify under C9 as hate speech. It's only thinly disguised as religious hate.

Layers of Hell: ...

... “The 9th Circle of Hell is the final, deepest, and coldest level, reserved for traitors - and all members of the Liberal Party of Canada."

New Addendum:

“Approval has been granted by Satan himself for a new and exciting 10th level to house floor-crossers. They were deemed too vile to serve their time (eternity) with regular traitors. Old Nick himself has confessed to a certain 'queasiness' when dealing with them,. He said, 'C'mon now, there are limits!"

So bring on the thought police. Come and get me.

Ain't that the truth! WELL DONE, James! 👏👏

This is the road to communism as laid out by our leader, wrongfully anointed a majority by corrupt floor crossers

"Their concern is not that hatred should go unpunished. Their concern is that a law intended to protect Canadians from hate could, if badly drafted, erode the constitutional freedoms of speech, conscience, and religion.

For millions of Canadians, scriptural texts are not casual opinions. They are the supreme authority of faith and conduct.

Equally troubling is the removal of the requirement for attorney general consent before prosecuting hate-propaganda charges. That consent requirement has long served as a gatekeeping mechanism, helping prevent weak, politically motivated, or vexatious prosecutions. Without it, many faith communities fear there will be no meaningful institutional safeguard against abuse.

These concerns go to the heart of Canada’s status as a liberal democracy.

In an age marked by totalitarian terror, ideological extremism, and increasingly dysfunctional governance, the benefits of an authentic liberal democracy are substantial. These include individual rights, universal participation, peaceful conflict resolution, separation of powers, economic opportunity, transparency, accountability, the rule of law, judicial independence, and a culture of self-critique."

I truly hate what Canada has become under the Liberal Gov't. They've squashed everything that was once good about this country and continue to do so. I do know the temptation is to blame the people who voted for them (yes, they do deserve some of it) but it also lies in the wretched hearts and minds of the elected people who to no end, both knowingly and willingly trample on others. And not just others, their fellow Canadians.

Crusader 5's avatar

That is the point. They want you to disengage, give up, and shut up. You there yet? Or are you hanging on for the Future generation when they will have to fight for it as well?

ALL censorship pushes us one step closer to COMMUNISM. This is where it begins, by oppression. But we KNOW where it ends, and ALL those in government who THINK they and their families will be spared? They might want to watch The Nuremberg Trials again, or the latest version with Russell Crowe portraying Herman Goerring, and Rami Malik as the psychiatrist trying to sort him out. TRUE STORY about the psychiatrist! EXCELLENT movie, outstanding ACTING - finally! Yet again, HERE WE ARE! Human beings DIDN'T LEARN, so the cycle's being repeated. Those of you with children and grandchildren, I pray for you!

Just wondering how much the United Front with its tentacles through our government and country ,would be very supportive of this bill and would not tolerate differences other than what the communist regime would want ?

The Author's concerns are not bugs- they are features. This is just another step in the agenda to dismantle Canada's democracy.

Trudeau said the quiet part out loud: "Canada will be the first post-national State."

The concerns raised about Bill C-9 deserve respectful consideration, particularly when freedom of religion and expression are at stake. However, it is important not to overstate the bill's effect or suggest that it necessarily criminalizes good-faith religious belief.

Canadian hate laws already set a high threshold. The wilful promotion of hatred is not the same as expressing religious doctrine, moral disagreement, or unpopular views. Courts have consistently interpreted these provisions narrowly, and Charter protections for freedom of religion and expression remain firmly in place.

While some may question the removal of certain statutory safeguards, that does not mean all checks and balances disappear. Prosecutors, judges, appellate courts, and the Charter continue to provide important protection against overreach.

At the same time, Parliament has a legitimate responsibility to protect communities from hatred, intimidation, and obstruction, especially when people are targeted while attending places of worship or cultural gatherings.

Canada should be able to protect both freedom and safety. The answer is not to reject anti-hate legislation outright, but to ensure it is carefully drafted, fairly applied, and consistent with Charter values.
