If only more people subscribed to get the real news of what’s happening in Canada and the world. I shouldn’t be the only one afraid for our future.

Hey guys,….. things have changed in China in that they are now developing “offensive” militsry capabilities ….rather than solely “defensive” military equipment.

That alone tells a hell a historical fact!

China, unlike the USA, has never attacked a “democratically” sovereign country. (Yaahh Nepal was different…… as they viewed it as part of China) On the other hand, read some of Noam Chomsky’s books on the USA involvement in Central America,…. for a small example)

Would an attack on Taiwan by China, not be …the very same as an attack by Canada taking back Quebec had Quebec decided to take up arms against Canada and ILLEGAL separate during the Quebec separation crisis?

Don’t under estimate the military strength of China ….yaaaah …nor ..the threat they pose to a nuclear war should the USA interfere in a China strike on Taiwan. God help us all if that happens.

But ALSO,… don’t forget that China is interested in TRADE,….and it is TRADE with other nations that the Chinese Communist Party was able to pull China out of poverty to the power house it is today. That being the case,… why would they risk trade with other countries,…. ESPECIALLY the USA?

I agree with both of you guys that there is a hell of a lot being played out these days in world events. I also agree that “Flip Flop, Conflicted Carnage” and the Liberal Party …has ZERO input into USA plans for upcoming warfare. )

However, one thing for certain,… is that the Trump Administration is not going to allow the drug poison manufacturing to continue on Canadian soil, ……and allow the federal authorities and police to sit back on their compromised ass and allow the shit to be then shipped across our border to murder thousands of young American lives. THATS FOR DAMN SURE

Anyhow guys…. my heart felt THANKS for bringing honest and truthful dialogue in this day of

disinformation as to the dangerous drug manufacturing going on in Canada that I see as a REAL threat to this country. I’m sure I speak for many Canadians in that respect. For those that don’t agree…..I respect your view, but I respectfully ask that you get informed.

I appreciate the seriousness with which you are approaching these issues, and I agree that the risks posed by China, Taiwan, fentanyl trafficking, and broader geopolitical instability warrant thoughtful discussion.

That said, I would respectfully offer a few points of caution.

First, comparing Taiwan to Quebec is, in my view, neither fair nor accurate. Taiwan has developed its own democratic institutions, government, military, and distinct political identity over many decades. Whatever one’s view of the historical claims involved, the present-day reality is far more complex than describing it simply as a domestic reunification issue.

Second, while China has often framed its military posture as defensive, its recent actions in the South China Sea, around Taiwan, and through rapid military modernization suggest a willingness to project power well beyond mere territorial defence. That does not mean war is inevitable, but it does mean we should be careful not to understate the concern many countries have about Beijing’s intentions.

Third, I agree with you that trade is a major restraining factor. China has benefited enormously from global commerce, and that interdependence is one reason many analysts believe Beijing will act cautiously. At the same time, history shows that economic interests do not always prevent conflict when nationalism, ideology, or strategic objectives take precedence.

Finally, on the issue of fentanyl and organized crime, I share the view that this is a grave threat to both Canada and the United States. Where I would be more measured is in assigning blanket blame to entire institutions or suggesting absolute certainty about the motives or future actions of any one administration. These are issues that require facts, strong enforcement, cross-border cooperation, and serious public policy, not just understandable frustration.

In the end, I think most of us want the same thing: honest discussion, public safety, and a more secure future. We may differ on some of the interpretations, but respectful debate is far more productive than treating complex issues as settled beyond question.

China’s “offence weapon”? How about “amphibious ships” no less. Perfect, offensive weapon for landing on the beaches of Taiwan?

However, if China was to attach Taiwan,….. now would be the time to do it, what with the USA military being tied up in both Venezuelan soil and on the attack on Iran! ,

Soooo I guess we have time….. before the attach?

Sam, I enjoy and appreciate your work very much. Two points:

1. You may wish to add more emphasis in your analysis to the fact that the majority of Canadians have developed a visceral hatred of Trump. A comprehensive trade deal with the US is vital for Canada. But it must involve one integrated border for (economic) migration, human trafficking interdiction, trade, defense, drug enforcement, and OC enforcement with the concomitant integration of effective RICO type laws, particularly as applied to money laundering. Such an outcome will require many concessions on our part - hello there supply management - and these will not happen any time soon because Canadians won’t tolerate negotiating a deal with Trump even though it is in our best interest; and,

2. What concerns me the most is the fact that Trump considers Canada weak and irrelevant. And since Justin poked the bear after Charlevoix in 2018, he now hates Liberals as well as liberals. Therefore he is trolling us for fun and saving us for last; notice that he hardly ever mentions Canada at all these days and when he does, it is with derision. Once our economy has tanked to the point of real pain, he can go for the two things he really wants: full control over arctic defence, and our water.

What ever agenda Carney has I'm fairly sure Trump has a hand in this somehow. I'm just not sure what that is yet. However, with Canada being weak on every front, Trump could be preparing to use us as a pawn in the potential war with China. No CUSMA deal could decimate our economy even further. With a non existent economy and no deal with USA Canada would be adrift and an easy target to be a pawn for the USA, but it would be a pawn that cannot be sacrificed. Trump knows exactly what China has done in Canada and he knows who in the elected and unelected Canadian powers have enabled the Chinese footprint to grow unbounded. With so many terrorists and expanding cartels living openly in Canada there is yet another reason for Trump to turn his attention on Canada once he's done dealing with the dictators. Canada sits on huge oil reserves that China cannot have. There would be simply no use in taking down the oil suppliers to China only to allow Carney to hand over all the oil reserves to China. Carney doesn't care about Canada except as a stepping stone to create and accumulate wealth for himself and his cronies. Trump only cares about Canada as a pawn and bulwark against China.
