TORONTO — In this breaking news episode for The Bureau, I speak with political columnist Brian Lilley about the diaspora pressure networks now surfacing around Michael Ma, the Conservative MP who crossed the floor last week and left Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberals one seat short of a majority.
It is long past due, expel all Chinese diplomats, cancel and expel all Chinese student visa holders. Terminate resource exports, including food to China.
Canadian born residents can only hold any and all government positions (elected & non-elected).
Great interview as usual with Sam Cooper. I am on the side of unless we have the long delayed foreign registry in place every move Carney/Brookfield makes is suspect. Anandasangaree stated that it takes time to create a federal department, yet the "office of getting things done at light speed' seems to be one of the few things done at light speed.
It wasn't that long ago that heat pumps being made and sold by a Brookfield subsidiary were being subsidized by Ottawa. I won't be surprised if we see Brookfield-Chinese or Power Corp-Chinese Canadian subsidiaries set up to make "green" energy products that are on the "Buy Canada" list of preferred suppliers.
While I agree that both sides of an argument can occasionally be right, in this case, I side with Sam Robert's.
In the case of Michael Ma, the arguments for Chinese interference tip the scales - heavily. Sam, an independent self-funded journalist, presents voluminous, well-researched arguments, with no government filters.
I read and admire much of what Brian Lilley writes, but Brian is not completely independent. Like it or not, he is an employee of a government-funded Post Media. And as long as that is true, Brian's views must necessarily be viewed through that filter.
There’s a reason that Trump is trying to secure the Western Hemisphere otherwise he would have left that Chinese ship in the port at the Gulf of Mexico which is now been renamed The Gulf of America. 🇺🇸

Implement foreign agent registry.
This has gone too far, too long.

what I'd like to find out is what was offered to Mr MA not only from the liberal party, but by the Chinese government .
will Canadians ever find out for sure one way or the other ?

Wow is all I can say Mr. Cooper. Thank you for letting me know I’m not completely off my rocker. 🙏🙏🙏
Ma is a snake. How did he get into the CPC in the first place? Pierre, do a better job of vetting your people. Disgusting.

Thanks Brian and Sam.

"According to the Times, Trump’s tariffs are punishing European carmakers. But they don’t seem to be troubling American carmakers as much, which aren’t shuttering plants. Instead, they are enjoying record post-pandemic sales." https://open.substack.com/pub/coffeeandcovid/p/cunning-linguists-tuesday-december?utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web
