So much corruption from municipal all the way to federal governments. Then this corrupt federal government appoints federal judges so I have to ask who can we trust to lead an inquiry? It should be a citizen based inquiry much like the NCI that is only funded by private citizens. I would like to see people like Sam Cooper, Garry Clement etc… leading the investigation and make the inquiry publicly televised so we can all see the testimonies and evidence provided. That will be the only way I will ever regain any trust in government. The government should freeze the assets of this so called Buddhist monastery until the inquiry is done.
I wonder how May other parts of Canada has been…quietly and conveniently taken over by suspicious Chinese Communist Party backed organizations? Might I add … with the authorities being willing to close their eyes to such treasonous acts?
For sure Gary Clement is correct … when he suggests out of country investigators be involved in a federal inquiry. Fact is Canadians no longer trust the federal or provincial government doing “Inquiries”.
Hell….. one good example is the B.C. Money Laundering Inquiry that took place that cost the taxpayers $14million. Judge Cullen identified certain lawyers in B.C. in the lucrative business of money laundering. YUP …while the Law Society of B.C….”shut their eyes to the criminal activity… and……Cullen,… in his final report didn’t even bother to recommend shutting their eyes money laundering lawyers down. Whats the say…..”Birds with the feathers fly together”…. or something like that.
Best that an intense out of country investigation in PEI take place….. kick out those that have no business in Canada….. and take our province back. Then prosecute those that allowed this bullshit to happen in the place.
BINGO! The BC casino money laundering will remain as one of the most corrupt situations that involved Christy Clark, Rich Coleman and, at the very least, Gregor Robertson. These people HAD to have know what was going on, give the overwhelming rise in housing costs that ensued. The fact that Clark and Robertson remain as high profile public figureheads just proves, once again that cliché 'absolute power corrupts absolutely'. These people have no shame, let alone a conscience.
Asking for a Federal Inquiry is like asking the Fox to investigate the chicken coop - the foreign interference inquiry pretty much shows how this would be handled - Canadians just have no idea how corrupt and subverted Canada really is - Arctic Mexico indeed...
China's influence doesn't end at PEI's border. It didn't end just because its fan-boy Justin was run out of office either. A blind person in a dark room filled with Canadian politicians of all stripes would have an excellent chance of bumping into several who have benefitted from CCP assistance. Canada has become the useful fool used by other nations. China dines on money and power and Canada skitters under the table licking the crumbs from the floor. Those crumbs can greatly fatten a Canadian politician. Feel free to swap CCP for USA -- you get the same dinner from a different table. And, yes, you'll find conservatives, liberals and progressives licking shoes and floor uder the same table at the same time, https://tedfalk.ca/why-wont-trudeau-act-on-chinese-interference/
Seriously - when push comes to shove - any sort of prosecution can be stopped by political pressure - it's all just theatre - The politicians and elite in Canada know that they will never be held accountable by a captured system - The above noted decision by an Ontario Crown Counsel shows what will ultimately happen when efforts to derail investigations fail - they will just stop the prosecution and no one can do anything about it...
Perhaps at the same time that, hopefully, a federal inquiry is taking place, the feds can also redistrict the Island and get rid of the pretty undemocratic number of federal ridings in the province. Although important historically, this is overdue. Do I think it would happen? It should. But have you seen what happens now at federal inquiries? It's turned American in that the MP's and bureaucrats called to testify just use word salad or outright refuse to answer questions. Another legacy from the virtue signaling JT who apparently approved of this type of non-respect shown to our federal system.

Sam Cooper and Garry Clement would make an obvious and very interesting choice for this type of inquiry. Fireworks anyone?
Alarming …. for sure!

It’s not surprising that the ‘captured elite’ doesn’t investigate itself.
