LONDON — Britain’s domestic intelligence service has taken the extraordinary step of publicly identifying a Chinese research organization it says is being used to strengthen Beijing’s espionage capabilities, warning more than 100 UK-linked academics have already contributed to projects ultimately funded by China’s Ministry of State Security.
Canadian authorities should do something similar as Britain's intelligence service, and warn companies and scientists about further involvement with China's espionage capabilities.
But perhaps there is too much influence by the Chinese government inside Canada's government to do this?

I still wonder what January’s agreement with China entailed. Especially concerning security. On that point, why are their Chinese “police stations” in Canada. Completely unnecessary and unacceptable.
I would think that CSIS, if not our “trusted”, RCMP agency, would be looking into foreign interference. Not only within research, business, financial systems and government on call levels.
There is the added incentive of answering to the US security agencies, given their warnings to Canadian agencies concerning Chinese influence in all Canadian domestic sectors.
My concern would be the scope of infiltration globally. The Chinese seem to vehemently deny any allegations of foreign interference.
