OTTAWA/LOS ANGELES — The weekend delivered a jolt from Beijing that underscores a theme Chris Meyer and I have explored across multiple podcast discussions: Xi Jinping’s regime can look strong yet be brittle.
Juxtaposed against the largest USA mobilization since WWII, Cogitating on why Carney's new strategic partner has been conducting daily heavy lift flights into Iran, I can't help but surmise all those Chinese heavy lift aircraft landing in Iran are delivering anti ship drones & missiles, & anti submarine technology and torpedoes. Has Canada leaked nuclear magnetic resonance technology to China? This technology is used in submarine detection and anti submarine advanced torpedo guidance systems. When conflict breaks out in a US - China proxy war in Iran, I won't be surprised if the USA immediately brands Canada as an ally of their enemy. Buckle up folks as this could go hot at any moment and lead to WWIII.
Thinking more like a tyrant everyday . Would the CCP like us to think they are somehow weakened as they slither into place even more - they have those long term goals anyway . Kind of thinking there are some parallels here in this story . Lincoln prior to the civil war was asked to cede various forts to the south by a politician to avoid a conflict. Lincoln told this story about a woman wanting to marry a lion. Her parents were concerned the lion would hurt her ,so in exchange for their consent they asked the lion to remove his claws and teeth . We he did ,they killed him.

Good points, but if Xi fails to maintain power now I would predict the Reformist faction will come to power. Reformists would focus on China’s economy and would most likely pull back from the political warfare strategies of the Ye-Xi clique.
