The US hasn’t been a great partner for Taiwan and its defense. The US currently owes Taiwan over 20 billion in already paid for defense munitions. That could be Patriot missles to defense batteries to drones. This “war” would be just a battle of attrition. China has millions in its defenses as far as personnel is concerned and has built up its Navy to the point that it’s the biggest in the world by a huge number. China can and will just outlast Taiwan even if they get all the support they need. Would the US put boots on the ground? I’d say that’s highly unlikely. If somehow China went and attacked Japan then all bets are off. It would likely be the start of WWIII. Recall demented Biden said the US would put boots on the ground to defend Taiwan and that was walked back very quickly. This is the reason Trump has shifted the US’s focus on Asia. We are maybe a year away from China attacking. They have said 2027 but to me it feels like China makes a move during the midterm elections in 2026 as the US might get caught not flat footed but with its attention focused on congressional elections. I’ve heard this before and that seems logical.
USWill decouple financial institutions and open markets will slam shut . CCP teetering now , only a matter of time . China selling hard buying nothing , but oil .
Let’s no forget history in all this, as far as Japan’s is concerned.

The USA under …President Kennedy at the time, … didn’t like an island off its coast (Cuba) being supported and armed by Russia. Isn’t the same scenario?
What we have brewing here is WW3, unless cooler heads prevail. This potential war will be a very short one…. not drawn out like WW2. It will be all over in short order…. for the whole of mankind.
